Senior Business Development Officer (2 fte)

To help us achieve our ambition we are looking for you to be our new

Senior Business Development Officer (2 fte)

The Senior Business Development Officer is part of the i+solutions’ Business Development Unit. This business development team is a new team recently launched to support our 4 teams in the business: Global Sourcing & Procurement, Global Logistics & SCM, In-Country SC Improvement & Systems Strengthening and Market Research.

Within this Business Development unit you will be responsible for building, maintaining and influencing a network of (potential) donors, partners and funding opportunities to ensure effective and efficient proposal submission. You will report directly to the CEO.

This role is one of the key positions responsible for the growth for our organization. One of your first priorities will be is to investigate Business Development opportunities and establish a Business Development framework for our organization. You will develop, improve, maintain and ensure execution of our Business Development processes and tools (e.g. bid templates, outlines, calendars, etc.), geared to and integrated with related i+solutions” processes, projects and systems.

Another crucial aspect of this role is to support the 4 teams in identifying leads and opportunities and potential strategic partners, and building & maintaining new relationships on a global and when possible a regional level to ensure a continuous pipeline of prospects.

In addition, together with your colleagues in the 4 teams, you will coordinate large bids in alignment with our corporate strategies to ensure (additional) funding for i+solutions. You will also be responsible for the quality of all business materials; from brief to proposal submission together with key members of the teams - including drafting key sections, ensuring all questions and requirements are met and that all internal oversight and approvals are in place.

You will need to connect the dots within and outside our organization to support high-quality implementation of bidding processes and to build & maintain a network that is representative of in the international arena.

What we are looking for
• Master’s and/or other advanced degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, Business Management, or other related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years work experience with fund raising/Business Development in the field of International Development
• Proven demonstrated track record in fund raising/Business Development and extensive network in the sector
• An organized and effective project and people manager;
• Experience in working across borders and with multi-cultural teams
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
