Description

Senior Associate, Recruitment

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Recruitment, the Senior Associate will be responsible for the following:

•Supporting the recruitment, screening, and hiring of UNICEF USA staff and fellowship positions


•Managing the internship and work study program and assist with managing temporary staff recruitment


•Maintaining UNICEF USA’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Taleo and career website


Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):

•Assist the Deputy Director in full-life-cycle recruitment of staff and fellowship positions: source and prescreen/interview candidates for entry-level positions; schedule interviews; review resumes; assess applications; check references; prepare offer and non-select letters; and coordinate the onboarding process and conduct new hire orientations


•Manage the UNICEF USA Intern/Work Study Program: communicate program requirements and processes; identify intern needs and assignments; prescreen applications; respond to applicant inquiries; facilitate intern selection; liaise with Facilities and IT about space and equipment allocation; coordinate a smooth onboarding process; host orientation and closing programs; and track all intern information


•Assist with temporary staff recruitment: select and liaise with temporary staffing agencies; recruit candidates for entry-level assignments; coordinate placements and onboarding; process invoices; and maintain accurate records


•Maintain Taleo and career website: create and generate accurate recruitment reports as needed; manage full scope of key metrics and reports to improve recruiting efficiency; proactively troubleshoot system issues, and help identify continuous improvement efforts


•Respond to both internal and external inquiries about the employment recruitment process


•Training and professional development coordination support for internship and fellowship program


•Coordinate internal and external job postings


•Process background checks as necessary


•Process candidate reimbursements as needed


•Process, track, and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices


•Handle other duties as required


Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years related experience in human resources


•Must demonstrate strong commitment to providing excellent customer service


•Must be able to demonstrate initiative, judgment, diplomacy, and respect for confidentiality


•Must have solid project management experience with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities


•Must be able to work independently and as a team member


•Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a broad range of departments, as well as manage expectations and deadlines


•Must have excellent interpersonal skills


•Must have superb written and verbal communication skills


•Must have strong computer skills, including at least one year of Taleo experience
