LATH USA Inc is a subsidiary company of Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health, whose parent organization is the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. LATH is part of a consortium, led by FHI 360, which has been awarded a USAID contract to manage significant amount of funds on behalf of USAID to support the integrated control of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) in Africa. The post will be based in Washington DC, with a small management team that will work with the Africa field office in managing this regional Health Project.
The project, “END Africa”, will work through national stakeholders, guided by ministries of Health, to implement the roll out of an integrated NTD Program. The Knowledge Manager’s goal will be to support the NTD program by collecting and disseminating important knowledge (i.e. best practice, lessons learned, etc) across the range of countries supported in this project.

This post will be responsible for assisting the Project Director, based at FHI360, to ensure that insights, best practices and emerging innovations are generated, documented and utilized by the various stakeholders involved with the project. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with national programs, developing content, disseminating information through a variety of information fora, and the management of knowledge libraries.

We are seeking an individual with 5 years experience in knowledge management, preferably in a USAID or US Government project context. This individual will be able to develop knowledge management plans and systems, identify and develop content and key messages in copy writing. This person will also have involvement in developing and preparing project marketing and advocacy.

The successful candidate will have a BA/ MA in a relevant subject area. They will be responsible for compliance with agreed consortium and USAID regulations for branding and marketing.

This role requires the incumbent to have authority to live and work in the USA; this includes holders of H1B visas.
